This was my favorite vintage motel sign on the whole trip. I love this old sign. The sun shape is made from the symbol of New Mexico. I would not suggest however, planning to stay at this motel, as their consumer reviews are just plain crummy.

We ate at the restaurant located beneath the Sun n' Sand motel sign although they are not affiliated with the motel. The kiddos had a hoot sitting at the old diner style swivel chairs. Food was just as you would hope, Jamie loved the Mexican food.

Also found an old post card image of the Sun n' Sand.
