I hate selling stuff after Christmas! When you spend your free time buying old stuff and turning it for a profit, the dry spell after Christmas is downright lousy. Nobody seems to have any cash left for the cool stuff. So today when I sold my first big item post holiday, I was feeling dandy! Hopefully this marks the beginning of the new buying season!
The sign I sold was hanging on a wood telephone pole in an ally in Brainerd. I talked to the owner of the shop out front and was allowed to have the sign for free if I removed it myself. So there I was, up on a ladder, in a thunder storm, yanking a porcelain sign from a pole. Sweet old sign, sweet sale. It's good to be selling again.
