Vintage baseball #2 - From one met to another.

One of my favorite sports memorabilia is my 1956 Metropolitan Stadium souvenir book. Another great
ebay find. It's interesting because Minnesota was still in the process of trying to attract a team to the state at this point. (The Twins didn't arrive from Washington until 1961)

In browsing the photos of the old met I found the black and white one added here. Look at how great of a job they did in giving a nod to the old stadium in the design of the new outfield section of Target field. Looks awfully familiar. Even the row of flags was added to salute the way thing were.
